Mystery Quilt Class planned for October

We are planning to hold a “Mystery Quilt Class” on October 21, the day after our usual October meeting. The idea is to arrive at the class with the materials to be specified and work through a set of instructions that will be revealed as we work along and that will result (in this case) in a table runner top. The level of the pattern chosen is rated as “Advanced Beginner”, which means you have basic sewing skills and some confidence in following patterns. But we believe this class can be used as a learning tool, and we will work together to be sure everyone gains something from it. All we know at this point is that it will require 5 different fabrics but further information will be passed on when we get it. We will get a set of instructions to be followed in 6 steps, working together for each of us to end up with a top to make a table runner. The time rating is 3-4 hours but we will have the whole day to help each other figure it out. Please consider joining up…the more, the merrier…literally. So that we know how many copies of the pattern to offer, we must know by the end of the August meeting whether you want to participate. The cost is $10 per person and we’ll have a sign-up sheet at the meeting. Or contact Cheryl Dawson at to sign up.
