YQG TRIVIA
In February 2000, Charter member, Carol Blevins was our speaker for the meeting. Her topic, “Who has Time To Quilt?” She spoke to our need to get everything done and putting ourselves last. While Carol could not give us more time in our days, she did offer ideas and
practical solutions to make better use of the time we do have. These days we have some members who despite having a job, family, and house seem to get a lot done. Maybe it is time for another lecture on finding time to quilt!

WAYS AND MEANS
From the September meeting:
The Ways and Means bazaar table was in full force at the September meeting and took in $69. Please stop by in October to browse. Who knows, that perfect little piece of fabric, or that notion you’ve been wanting, or even a book to inspire you might just be waiting for you.
Thanks again for your continuing support in donations and in shopping.
Ways and Means - Celebration of Quilts 2018
Friday and Saturday, May 18-19, 2018,
Grumbacher Sport and Fitness Center, York College of Pennsylvania
Although we no longer have raffle baskets at our monthly membership meetings, the Quilt Show Ways and Means Committee plans to prepare Raffle Baskets for Celebration of Quilts 2018 . The proceeds will go into the Guild’s general fund to offset operating expenses and speaker fees.
We will prepare the baskets the week of the Show, which will be on display and tickets available upon opening Friday morning. Winners will be drawn on Saturday, May 19, at 3:00 p.m. Winners need not be present to win.
We will make these baskets creative and attractive and hopefully irresistible, so of course, we need your help and are asking for donations. During your shopping or travels over the next several months, could you be on the lookout? Think of us when you have a coupon or when there is a 2-for-1 sale, etc. Think of something that you would take a chance on.
We will accept items any time from now until the week of the show. In fact, Nancy Spiese has started us off by donating several very nice quilting notions. Consider joining with a fellow member to donate any of the more expensive items or a themed basket as noted
below.
And of course, we will need help during the show to oversee the Ways and Means table and sell tickets. Hopefully, you can give us an hour or two of your time.
