President's letter
During our annual trip to Las Vegas last month we experienced temperatures 10-20 degrees below normal. We even saw snow on the ground at the famous Welcome to Las Vegas sign!
On days too cool to sit out in the sun, I searched for local quilt shops. What fun! Quilting is popular everywhere.
My favorite shop was a quilters heaven named “Sew Yeah Quilting”. They have repairmen on site, weekly classes, and very helpful staff. I got well over an hour with their instructor one on one. She met with me privately and answered questions about my machine. She made recommendations on several new attachments. My fee for this was $40. After an hour and 45 minutes I ordered several supplies and attachments. The store gives 20% off all machine attachments. I have not received my shipment but I can’t wait to try a new product called Gold Finch paper for transferring designs onto fabric. Hopefully I can share whatever is useful in next month’s newsletter.
Our April speakers will be Running With Scissors. They are three really fun ladies. They will have a sales table and Ginny will have a fresh batch of fabric to sell.

I’d like to thank everyone for the wonderful basket of goodies that was given to me at the last meeting. An abundance of fabric, and not a one was a duplicate of fabric I already have in my stash. Thank you so much. Peg Gregory

February 2016 “Popcorn and a Movie” night. We had a video of Bob Purcell, President of Superior Threads presenting Thread Therapy. He talked about different theories about threads. Bob also shared his knowledge about needles and different threads.
He has a good sense of humor. Great information
