Helping our Community
Project 1
Survivors, a domestic violence abuse shelter, t provids the children who need their services with a snuggle quilt. Various sizes are needed to accommodate different ages. There are approximately two hundred fifty children use their services throughout the year. While most of the children are eight or younger, quilts are also needed for older children. If you are interested in making a quilt for Survivors, please show it at Show and Tell first as a reminder to everyone and to give others ideas on what they would like to make. Then place it on the back table next to the sign, Quilts for Survivors.
Project 2
Dawn encouraged us to make pillowcases for “Conker cancer”, which would be donated to either John Hopkins Hospital or Hershey Medical Center. www.ConKerr.org. is the web site for this.
